Honeywell to Replace Verizon CDMA Communicators

CMS Dealers, if you aren’t already aware please read the notification from Honeywell below re: Verizon CDMA communicators.

Recently, Verizon announced plans to decommission its CDMA network, effective December 31, 2019. However, due to an exclusive longevity agreement we have with Verizon, which provides an extension through December 31, 2022, this notification does not apply to Honeywell CDMA radios.

Our longevity agreement applies to all active Honeywell CDMA radios, therefore our dealers do not need to take action at this time.

It is important to note that new Verizon CDMA activations will no longer be permitted after June 1, 2018. As a result of this activation deadline, the sale of Honeywell CDMA radios will be discontinued sometime prior to that date.

Honeywell will replace the CDMA communicator with our LTE radio portfolio starting in Q1 of 2018, which will provide a transition to new cellular technology and, offer maximum network longevity.

Below is a table that identifies the current products that will be discontinued, and the replacement products Honeywell will introduce.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If you have any questions, please contact your Honeywell sales representative.
